Hamilton Organ Company
This is just about all the
information that’s survived the passing of time on the Hamilton Organ
Company.
In 1889 they were located on 85-89 West 14th Place, Chicago, IL. In 1899 the company was sold to
D.H. Baldwin & Co. who made the "Monarch" organ. They discontinued organ production probably in 1913.

Baldwin Organ Company
158 West Fourth St. in 1862; later 142-144 West Fourth St., Cincinnati, OH.
Established in 1862 as a music dealer, eventually operating a chain of music stores. Reorganized as D.H. Baldwin
& Co. in 1873, in 1889 acquired the Hamilton Organ Co. Incorporated 1892 with Lucien Wulsin, president; D.H.
Baldwin, vice-president; G.W. Armstrong, secretary. Later also made the Monarch organs, Baldwin, Valley Gem and
Ellington pianos. Bought out Minshall-Estey and produced that organ for a time. See Hamilton Organ
